Shawn Lifrage is Vice President, Sales, Americas, at Utopus Insights, a New York-based renewable energy data analytics company. He is a seasoned energy and utilities industry sales, marketing and business development professional, with rich experience serving conventional and renewable power generation equipment manufacturers, an industrial water treatment equipment and chemistry business, and an industrial data analytics software company.
He began his career as a consulting engineer on civil, geotechnical, water and wastewater, and land development projects. An interest in international business led to a position working with a residential real estate development group in Sofia, Bulgaria. His first sales and marketing role was with Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation where he was involved with the sale of conventional power generation facilities and long-term service and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) agreements.
Through subsequent strategic and transactional roles with Colfax Corporation, Mitsubishi Power Systems, GE Water and Process Technologies, Meridium, and Siemens Gamesa, Lifrage has gained expertise in the operational aspects of power generation facilities and information technology (IT) / operational technology (OT) convergence for operational excellence.
Shawn holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.
Lifrage and his family currently reside in Winter Park, Florida, USA, and have previously lived in Sofia, Bulgaria and Herzogenaurach, Germany.
